Hyper Amy Sisters 5 is an action platformer video game published by Zerona in 1979 in Taiwan on the Chicon and in North America and Brazil in 1981 on the ZGD. Remakes of the game were released on the HZGD in the 1987 video game compilation Hyper Amy Nomon and another one based on the Nomon version released on the Playcat Basic 21 years later.
Changes[]
According to the Chicoic preview and screenshots in media and early releases of the game having screenshots of the prototype on the back of the box, there are elements in the prototype not present in the final version such as the status bar containing the text "AMY" instead of a text of a country taking place, Faca-Fires appearing in levels but were removed in the final version despite returning in the bonus e-Reader levels in the GBA remake, and some levels being constructed differently. Aside from the Chicoic screenshots and boxart, there is little information and resources about the prototype. It is possibly stored in the locked archives of Zerona Taiwan.
Recreation[]
Shao Ching Lan has released the Hyper Engine V prototype used for the HAS5 prototype, and a former Zerona Taiwan employee, known by nickname Masitan (ma-see-tan), has recreated HAS5 (using the prototype) with the game and beta screenshots in mind.
